Follow Ups

Number one reason for not exercising is “no time”. If you don’t find time to work towards better health, time will eventually find you regretting! - So plan and make your own time to worship your body-your temple of health!

Consider exercise to be an integral part of your daily routine and not a drill forced upon you.

The best way to form a good habit is to make an effort for 21 days – watch how it becomes a healthy routine! Enjoy your workouts safely. Take expert advice on what suits your body. There is no ‘free size’ in exercise.

Walking is still the most popular and safe aerobic workout – so just walk your way to fitness.

Let us get a little disciplined in life. We all know what is good or bad to eat; we just don’t follow it!

Consuming the most nutritious food will also be a waste if the body is not fit enough to absorb it – So let’s just work (it) out!

Five Fit Tips

1. Long Hours On the computer?Relax your neck muscles by rolling your shoulders back and down. Lift shoulders up towards the ears and slide them down. (Every ½ an hour)

2. Has to Stand for a long Time?Pump your calf muscles by doing heel raises. Stretch the calves by placing a 4 5inch diameter pipe under the fore foot while standing

3. Fingers swollen while walking?Squeeze the palms and open the fingers out wide at intervals or carry a spiked Wooden spindle or ball in hand (Available in Auroville outlets)

4. Sitting on the chair for long hours?Stretch the leg with toes pointing up and heel on the floor. Bend over bringing chest to the thigh. This routine stretches the back of the thigh (hamstrings) and lower back.

5. Waiting for long in a queue?Pull in your navel as you exhale and slowly release the abdomen as you inhale. Practice this right way of breathing and at the same time help firm your abdomen.
