ISRO urgently needs young scientists : With a number of indigenous space projects lined up in the near future, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is on the lookout for nurturing youngsters in space science. ISRO’s Advisory Committee for Space Science (ADCOS), through its Space Science Promotion Scheme, has selected eight universities where space science will be nurtured. Andhra University, Banaras Hindu University, Bangalore University, Calcutta University, Dibrugarh University, Mysore University, Sri Venkateswara University and Tezpur University come under the selection.
In order to attract post-graduate level students and to encourage them to pursue space science research as a career after their post-graduation, M.Sc/M.Tech fellowship scheme will be provided. Courtesy - Samachar.com & Indian Express

Hydereabad gifted to celebrate Holi organically: The scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Adilabad of ANGRAU have come up with the idea of mass production of organic colours with effective utilisation of the available natural resources like forest trees and flowers.
They have successfully extracted organic colours from a particular flower ‘butea monosperma’ -- popularly known as flame of the forest (Moduga Puvvu) and have imparted training to the landless farmers and other daily wage earners.
