Annai - Arabindo Ashram

The Mother born Mirra Alfassa in Paris on 21 February 1878 voyaged to Pondicherry to meet Sri Aurobindo in 1914, whom she at once recognised as the one who for many years had inwardly guided her spiritual development.She was actually a pupil at the Academie Julian, she became an accomplished artist, and also excelled as a pianist and writer.In November 1926, after her 4 years of life in Japan, She rejoined Sri Aurobindo and formed Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Sri Aurobindo entrusted its full material and

spiritual charge to the Mother. While The Mother left her body on l7 November 1973,

she still continues her miracle of healing the miseries of anybody who trusts and utters his prayer looking deep into her eyes.
