Thorough cleansing to keep skin glowing

Written By Hamsi on July 27, 2010 | 2:16 PM

Real beauty is not physical beauty. The Beauty is having a tender, pleasing, merciful, kind heart.
Keeping skin clear and healthy enhances happiness through more confidence in you. Cleansing is one of the apt method. Thorough cleansing yields natural luminosity to skin. so how to select cleansers?

  1. Use only alcohol-free cleansers :- Cleansers with alcohol dries the skin by stripping its protective oils. Also may sometimes lead to skin irritations.

  2. Go for natural goodness :- Cleansers enriched with natural ingredients boost the skin texture. Also those with vitamin E will be antioxidating agents while those with vitamin B smoothens the skin and also will retain moisture. Cleaners with essential oils like chamomile soothe the irritated skin and also promotes cell regeneration.

  3. Use perfume free and colour free cleansers :- Cleansers with perfume may cause allergic reactions for those with sensitive skin. Chances of skin breakouts appear due to the addition of colour pigments in cleansers.

  4. pH level of cleanse shoulld match your skin :- The acid mantle of the skin gives i a healthy pH level being an average 5.5. If the skin doesnt maintain its acidity then it is sure to be prone to conditions like flaking and eczema. So it is necessary for a cleanser with skin's pH level rather than adopting an alkaline soap.
Best usage of cleansers

  • Opt for lukewarm water to wash your face. Hot water hurts and dries the skin while cold water may not dissolve the dirt and grime effectively.

  • Massage face in gentle, upward circular motion to improve blood circulation to leave a subtle glow while removing grime. Dont dare to scrub with fingernails for adverse effects.

  • Rinse suds off completely to prevent residue from clogging up the pores.

  • Suggested is twice wash per day. Over washing strips off the protective oils resulting in skin irritations.
